So his initial thought or premise behind this Southwest Airlines was to simply travel between these three destinations, making it affordable for business owners. Or businessmen rather. Okay. But here's the thing. His story is just pretty incredible. So now, like I said, Herb already had a thriving practice, a full business. He was a father. He had four children, all before he launched this. And he thought, okay, this isn't going to be that much that difficult. He got the capital together to get the first couple of airplanes.

So they filed a junction and tied him up in court, claiming that there was already too much market saturation in that space, and that he didn't have the right to fly. Well, this, my friends, is actually against the constitution and what we stand for free, uh, free enterprise. We are a foundational Our United States is built off of free enterprise.
had big money. They had big [:Well, Herb was an attorney and he said, I'm going to appeal. And he did. And it went to the appellate court, which also said, no, you can't fly. Okay. At this point, Herb was over 500, 000 in debt and his business partners were telling him, let it go, man. Like, just let it go. Herb said, no, Herb said, no, if I let this go there, this is giving big companies the right.
to withhold little companies from getting started or new companies from getting started. And he said, it's wrong. It's not the way America is built and I will not stand for it. So what he did is he said, I will continue to represent the company, but I am going to take this to the Texas Supreme Court and I will defer my fees.
So if I lose. [:That's why I'm really curious. Like I love hearing stories about founders and business people who have really succeeded beyond all measure because they. Are so intentional and so focused and passionate about the platform that they stand on. So they're starting to lay people off so I can see that as a trend in the next year or two. It's going to be harder to get jobs.
