Today we are continuing on with our interview of Lee Sutherland, real estate investor. In the previous episode Lee shared his start in the business and how he overcame many obstacles. Our discussion continues as he goes into how he grew his portfolio rapidly and bypassed banks in the process.

He quickly discovered that lenders and insurance companies limit how many lines of credit one individual can access. He wondered how he was going to reach his goal of owning 10 houses! It was not long after that he quit his job and joined a private investor group. Soon, he was swimming in opportunities and quickly scaled his business without relying on banks at all. In fact, now he hardly considers using traditional financing to secure his real estate and has discovered the art of using other people's money.
